Now I’m beginning to wonder why I stuck around here.

bekahtheoriginal:

I was being sarcastic, smartarse. Is sarcasm lost on you all of a sudden?

I’m sorry, Queen of the nice safe…

Now I’m beginning to wonder why I stuck around here.

bekahtheoriginal:

Why would I really want you to mean it? Unless YOU want me to want you to mean it.

Nice word play there, came up with that all by yourself? I’m sorry, if I’m not mistaken, which I’m not, you were the one that asked me to repeat it and mean it.

Now I’m beginning to wonder why I stuck around here.

bekahtheoriginal:

Aw, now say it like you actually mean it and not like the word was like a mouthful of vervain.

Why would I actually mean it? Unless you want me to mean it…

Katherine had lost what she’d most admired about herself; her ability to not care about what most people thought. It was still true, but with the exception of Damon. She hated that she’d made herself so vulnerable to him, but it was honestly out of her control. With everything that’d happened over the years, Katherine thought that the part of her life that contained Damon, and the lust and love for him, was behind her. Little did she know, it’d never really left. All that time spent chasing after Stefan, only to be shot down, Katherine had no idea that her feelings, whatever they were, still existed for the other Salvatore. When Katherine first came back to Mystics, she’d had a lot of fun with being Elena. It was so easy, she could practically do whatever she wanted. She’s got under Stefan’s skin, and kissed Damon. Kissing Damon wasn’t so much as the ‘being Elena’ act though.

To Katherine’s surprise, Damon even gave her the time of day to explain herself and explain why exactly she’d left. She wasn’t going to lie; it’d be a cold day in hell when Katherine lied to spare someone’s feelings. Damon deserved the know that truth and that’s what Katherine was going to give him. Even if Damon had completely kicked Katherine out of his life for good this time, he still deserved it. He was in control and he knew it. No matter how this conversation, or whatever it was, would go, Damon had the final call. She wouldn’t be surprised if he tried to kill her, like he’d done so many times before. But she was leaving everything up to him.

Katherine watched Damon for a moment before he realized that she was there. His body was layered with sweat and his hair was wet as well. It was taking a lot for Katherine not to remark on how attractive he looked right about now. When he spoke, she huffed out a small, sarcastic laugh, then shook her head. “In a sense, yes.” She let out a small smirk, then sighed softly to herself. It was the first time she was goign to do anything of the sort.

In all honesty, the blue eyed vampire admired the fact that Katherine tried to, but failed, to have a strong and arrogant atmosphere about her. She knew he was in control, which excited him a little, building from deep within and crawling it’s way to the surface, just slowly. The brunette in front of him had been playing games with him ever since he was twenty-two years of age, and now at the age of one hundred and seventy, he had finally found the strength to break free from her ever manipulate ways. “You can start talking now,” he spoke as he pushed himself away from the trunk with his one hand. Turning around, he walked over towards a towel positioned hanging over a branch, dangling from the oak tree. The fresh fallen leaves crisp under his weight as he took big leaps across the forest ground to get to his blue towel. Dapping it across his skin he watched Katherine, who hadn’t moved a muscle.

She always looked so poised and statuesque and when the sunlight hit her face, you could hear angels fighting over her beauty, but Damon wasn’t going to let ideas like that sneak into his head. He had her right where he wanted her. On both knees, figuratively, and begging for him to give her another chance. But she has that look in her eye, that one she would wear whenever she felt scorned. She wanted him to feel hurt, like she was feeling hurt, or was she feeling that emotion? Damon was confused and reminded himself not to look into her eyes. “I know we have forever, but that doesn’t mean I’ll be waiting around for you to start explaining yourself. So please, the floor is all yours.” He took a bottle of water and sprayed it into his mouth, before ripping open a AB positive blood bag and drinking this. He positioned himself on a fallen tree trunk and had his blue eyes upon her.

Was Katherine really about to go into the woods and talk to Damon about this? About love or like or relationships or Stefan? What the hell had gotten into her. Her time away with Stefan was eye opening, to say the least. Stefan wanted nothing to do with her, but yes, when he came back under the order of Klaus, Stefan had come back and told her that he was in love with her still. He’d spent almost half of his time still in Mystic Falls, hating Katherine with all that he had and loving Elena with just as much. Then, he confesses that he’s in love with her still, after all of this time? What the hell was Katherine supposed to think about that? In the time that he’d been away, Katherine had gotten a little bit closer to Damon. Without noticed, Katherine had developed the strong feelings for Damon that she’d had way back when. Granted, she didn’t know if she loved him like he loved her, but she wasn’t closing her mind to the option. Damon was just like Katherine, with the normal differences. Damon wasn’t afraid to speak exactly what he was thinking, much like Katherine. He did what he wanted, when he wanted. It was something that Katherine loved about Damon. But after their night together, Katherine just felt like she was more involved with Damon than she’d originally wanted to be.

Speeding off into the woods where Damon usually did his hunting, Katherine sighed lightly as she shoved her hands into the pockets of her leather jacket. She could smell Damon by the time she’d reached half way into the woods. She was walking by this time. She’d seen Damon; his back was turned to her. She waited for him to notice, or sense that she was there. She knew it would only be a matter of time. She leaned against a large tree stump and stared over at his movements, and actions, smirking to herself slightly.

Katherine Pierce, claimed she had changed with in fact nothing was different about her. And even if she wanted Damon to believe otherwise, he had fallen pray to her manipulative personality before, and would not allow himself to fall for it again. Not after everything he had been through to get rid of his feelings for her, especially after looking for her for over 100 years, searching and praying that she was still alive, hoping that her love for him was still as strong as his for her. But when he found out the truth, about her being on free ground, yet never coming to look for him, his heart fell to the ground and shattered into a million pieces. But she came back to the falls, she came back to the boarding house where she had tricked him into believing that she was Elena. And she even kissed him, yet he had no clue it was her.

So when she came into the boarding house, and forced herself upon Damon he had to ask her. He had to know if she’d actually cared for him, but she didn’t. Just like Elena and every other woman he’d cared about, it was always going to be Stefan. But now the two had found themselves back at square one, and it seemed as if Damon had the upper hand this time. He was calling the shots, and even if his own arrogance would be the cause of him losing her again, at least he would still have his heart in tact. Not that he had the feeling that he was about to lose her, in fact, he even let the thought play for a second that Katherine might enjoy not having the upper hand for once. I mean, she kept on coming back to him, instead of the other way around. She wanted his attention, so she gave him hers. Text messages, an invite to the school prom and now, she was in the woods looking for him. He could sense her.

He was training, making himself stronger so that, if time would come, he’d actually sort of stand a chance against Klaus, or any other original for that matter. He could feel Katherine’s eyes upon him, as the sweat dripped slightly off his back. It took a lot for Vampire’s to actually sweat, so you can imagine the hard work Damon had put into his exercise.  “Katherine,” Damon spoke while he turned on his heel to face her. “Come to grovel?” he smirked as he walked up to her, pressing his hand against the bark of the tree she was leaning against.

And here I thought you would have tried your hardest to keep me around, love. Sigh, how disappointing.

Cute…

‘The Fab Five’ — what an original nickname. And no, I’m not ready to stir up any trouble, Damon. I have no need to, not even with as bored as I am.

Whatever, sexy Bex. But if you feel like leaving this town, just know I’m not in your way.
